It doesn’t matter what kind of computer you have. You’ll just be uploading your files to the webserver. Then, others will be able to see them. Linux supports PHP and MySQL more readily than Windows, so you shouldn’t have any problems there.

As long as you can upload onto their machine you should be fine. Ensure adult content is specified in their terms and conditions and consult local laws of where their web servers are because I think that is the jurisdiction you are under (THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE, SEEK ADVICE OF A LAWYER).

You can use linux web hosting but it is always better to use windows web hosting.
